The Decision Mapping® Process

Evolved over 50 years of research, Decision Mapping® provides a “Map” of the elements and the patterns of an organization’s decision process and business growth. Focused both on making your own decisions or affecting decisions in other organizations, it was initially used in business and industry for Customer Development. The process today is used by a far broader range of companies, institutions, governments, laboratories, etc. from small to large, to global – from P&G building growth strategies with mass retailers to huge aerospace companies Mapping powerful defense strategies at The Pentagon, to the E.U. launching the introduction of new health and communication policies throughout Europe.

The MAP® is first a model for thought, then action. Used to focus externally on the decisions which must be taken for business growth, the focus of the map then shifts internally to design, communicate and select resources to map how to engage and affect those decisions which shape the future. The contracts to build and to launch the International Space Station were Mapped. Many famous successes are included in the performance of our clients, and also not so famous but equally important, such as saving the Rain Forests and Orangutangs of Borneo.
